Atlanta Braves Lose Austin Riley to Injury

Braves' Third Baseman Sidelined for 6-8 Weeks

The Atlanta Braves have announced that third baseman Austin Riley will miss approximately six to eight weeks after undergoing an MRI that revealed a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee.

Riley was injured on Sunday against the Los Angeles Angels when he was struck by a pitch from reliever Jack Kochanowicz. The injury is the latest in a string of setbacks for the Braves, who have been ravaged by injuries all season.

Riley is one of the Braves' most important players, and his absence will be a major blow to the team's playoff hopes.
